Our Housing Support Officers work with our tenants offering intensive 1-1 support to tackle the underlying causes of homelessness and support them to become independent. Paragon Supported Housing CIC is sensitive to the individual needs of each tenant. Paragon Supported Housing CIC will allocate a Housing support Officer to tenants who will meet them on a regular basis to support them with any issues and working closely to go through their support plan and their well-being.
The Housing Support Officer will initially meet up with the tenant and setup a support plan, which is agreed between the tenant and the support worker, highlighting the areas that need to improve on, this can vary from:
Housing related support service, benefits, welfare, education, training, employment, volunteering opportunities, finance planning and healthy lifestyle this then leads to permanent accommodation for the tenant.
The Housing Support Officer works closely with the tenant to agree on a support plan which both parties are happy with, a copy of the plan will be provided to the tenant.
The support plan will be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure progress is being made and that the support plan is being followed and there has been an improvement. The tenant can review their support plan at any time.
After working closely with an assigned housing support officer & developing the necessary skills to become independent, the time comes for our service users to leave our support programme as confident individuals who can live independently and manage on their own.. Our experienced support team will still be on hand to assist all service users in any further support they require such as registering with letting or renting agencies & applying to housing associations & councils.
Our Support Programme is ultimately designed for you to become confident and comfortable in managing and taking control of your own living matters. When the time does come to finally take these important steps on your own, our support staff will still be on hand to ensure you are guided and not left entirely on your own.
We provide Out of hours emergency repairs, we understand that an emergency can occur at any time, and we have an emergency repair team available for you outside of our normal working hours. During an out of hours appointment, they will make it safe for you, for example, boarding a broken window, or isolating a leak, however a return visit may be required during normal hours for any permanent repairs.
